After the great success in 2012 at the Octagonplein of the Avila Hotel, theater diva Karin Bloemen along with master pianist Cor Bakker gave a wonderful performance of her show ‘De Witte Nar’ on April the 30th at Mansion Brakkeput Mei Mei!
Karin Bloemen (June 28, 1960) is a singer and comedian who, with her striking appearance, knows how to get attention with her beautiful songs and lively performances since 1983. Her career began in the cabaret group ‘Purper’ but soon after that her solo career started and made her into one of te largest theater dives the Netherlands have ever seen.
Master pianist Cor Bakker traveled with her. Cor Bakker (1961) starts playing the piano at the age o 11. After the Conservatory he continues his studies in Los Angeles with the American pianist, composer and arranger Clare Fischer. After his study Cor Bakker works with almost all the artist from the Netherlands. In addition, he makes multiple solo albums and wins a number of prestigious awards for his piano playing, including the Gouden Harper, the Gouden Notenkraker and the Kiwanis Jazz Award. From 1989 until 2000 Cor Bakker is the main pianist of the Metropole Orchestra. Cor reaches national fame when he is on Paul de Leeuws weekly television show in which he accompanied several world artists.
