Candy Dulfer (born 19 september 1969) works together with the most famous stars, plays with her band around the world in sold-out halls and on the biggest festivals, received a Grammy Award nomination, has more than 2.5 million albums sold and scored several number 1 hits in the USA.
As a young girl, she was already on stage with her father Hans Dulfer. In 1982 she wrote history when she with her band Own Cultivation played at the North Sea Jazz Festival as the youngest band ever played at the North Sea Jazz.
Later no one other than Prince asked for her to perform in his concerts in Netherlands. Then he asked her to also join some projects in the United States. In 1989 Dulfer made some songs with Dave Stewart. One of these songs, Lily was here, became her first number 1 hit in the Netherlands.
Since 2012 Candy Dulfer is one of the Ladies at the annual concert series Ladies Of Soul in the Ziggo Dome. In 2013 Dulfer was one of the judges in X-Factor. Since then she and her band are touring again through the United States, Europe, the Baltic States, Aruba and Japan. Meanwhile, she is working hard on a new album.
